Passions

Growing Ochids. Favorites are phalaenopsis (moth orchids), oncidiums and melatonins (pansy orchids). Kaleidoscope phals produce three generations of flowers in a continuous cycle. Shary Baby oncidiums have multiple graceful stems with tiny dark lavender flowers that perfume the air with the aroma of chocolate.

Walking a l7 Minute Mile each morning through the neighboring lanes, with an eye on favorite gardens, specimen trees and plantings during the four seasons. Spring is the most spectacular time with flowering purple plum trees, American and Kousa dogwoods, Bradford pears, weeping cherries and crab apples in bloom. Next come the opening of azaleas of every hue: lavender, fuschia, pink and drifts of pristine white across the wide lawns.

  1. Hey neighbor! Loved your editorials in The Jewish Times for years. The Cherry Hill Jewish Times missed a great voice by not asking you to continue on. But I will now follow your wonderful blog, and enjoy seeing you and Bob (who always stops while I’m walking my dog to make me smile with his jokes) take your morning walks. And we also list Venice as our favorite city!
